Our opinion of Extreme Pita: If you have ever been to all the various sandwich shops, you know that each has its quirks. The main issue with a quick serve sandwich shop is they fawn all over you to sell you a $5 sandwich. What I love about Extreme Pita is it gives the same type of look/feel from a customer point of view, but the product focuses on healthy choices. Buying a pita from Extreme Pita is a lot like a cross of Subway and Quizno’s. They have the toaster concept like at Quizno’s, but have the “toppings” options similar to Subway. Also like Subway, they have a low cost of ownership, but HIGHER price points for customers. I’d say the average ticket at Extreme Pita is about $10-12, where at Subway it’s probably closer to $7.
